Prelaunch Labs (www.prelaunch.com) wants you to take the Epson Moverio Smart Glasses to the next level by creating innovative, functional, and exciting new apps for this augmented reality wearable platform.

The “Epson Moverio Develop the Future App Challenge” is a developer competition beginning on November 17th, 2014. Over three rounds, developers will have the chance to compete for their share of over $30,000 in cash and prizes.  Winners will also gain key promotional exposure for their apps through Epson’s global marketing channels.

Developers anywhere in North or South America are invited to submit applications that detail your Moverio app in two different categories:

  • Best Consumer App (Augmented Reality/Gaming)
  • Best Enterprise App  (Distribution/Manufacturing/Medical/Other)

You do not need a device to complete the first round of the challenge.  Phase one of the challenge requires you to provide a short summary of your applicaton concept for the Moverio BT-200 and a short bio about you or your organization.  That's it!

Eight winners will be selected from the first round (four enterprise app winners, four consumer app winners) and will be rewarded with $1000 and a free Moverio device!

You do not have to win the first round to move onto the second round of the campaign but why not get in on the campaign early and go for even more prizes!
